Oh Balls!

I know what you're all thinking with the title of today's post....but I couldn't resist.  Seriously could not resist. I think I changed it about 100 times before just giving in to childish humor and my love of the movie Space Balls.  Yep, certified geek.  :)

On to today's post, the real reason you're here.  Hopefully you made it over from Denise's Blog.  We've been hard at work to correct some link issues that have been happening and I'm really hoping for a smooth hop today.

Today's shape was the 20 circles ball.  It's pretty when it's done, but we all had some difficulties assembling. Here's my completed ball.  I'm thinking it will make a great decoration around the holiday time and winter.

Can you imagine a bunch of them hanging from the ceiling over a table??  Or all different sizes on the mantel??  The possibilities are endless.

We found that it's best to score all the folds before you fold and then crease with a bone folder.  The assembly book says to make 4 flower like pods of 5 circles and then the 4 pods go together to form the ball.  It sounds complicated, but it does work.  It's the same idea as assembling an origami box/ball/etc. if you've ever made one of those.  Just go slowly, line up the edges of your folded circles very carefully and you'll be rewarded with a very nice ball in the end.  Also, I used liquid glass to adhere mine.  That bugger is never coming apart!

The flowers are also cut from the Artiste cartridge and stacked using foam tape.  They are topped with some new bling (LOVE "EM!!!) that is just like the Kaiser stuff I adore.  The sparkles are held on with liquid glass as well. The papers are from the Avonlea and Dakota paper packs.  Yep, those flowers are from Dakota.  :)

Now it's time to get hoppin' along.  Tricia's ISP has finally been able to get her service again so I'm hoping she's able to post today.  Here's the link to Tricia's blog.  If she hasn't gotten anything up yet, just head back here and JUMP over to Lalia's blog like you've been doing.

See you tomorrow!
