The top of the "box" lifts out to reveal the gift card and inside sentiment. You can see my MIL got a gift card to a local greenhouse this year.
Here's how I made the gift card gift box card. Now that's a mouthful!
Make a standard size card with the fold on the short side. Cut off 1" from one side and 1.5" from the other. After I got things going, I decided I wanted a big bow at the top of my card so I wound up cutting off an extra 1/2" from each side of the card and tossing it. I think it's personal preference on how tall you want your card to be.
Cut the piece for the inside to 5.25" by 3.5".
If you cut the extra 1/2" off like me your inside should be 4.75" by 3.5".
Now, attach the inside sliding piece to the top of the box pieces by sandwiching it in between as shown.
Then, line up the inside portion and stick adhesive on the sides of the main card base. I used foam tape because I knew I'd need a little wiggle room with the gift card in there.
Now, cut decorative paper for the front of the box card (and back if you'd like) and attach as shown.
Decorate how you'd like and gift away! :)
Thanks for stopping,

Beautiful card!
