Father's Day

First, I'd like to say that I've come to a bit of a revelation.  I think I need to ban the family members from looking at my blog around holiday times.  I've found that I only post projects that I intend to give after the holiday and while that's all good and well, it's not very helpful for my readers.  How bad is it that I'm just getting around to realizing this!?!?  So, my dear family, while I love you much, please refrain from looking at my blog during a holiday time.  Either that, or be forewarned that you could stumble upon the very gift you will receive.

On to the project...I simplified it a little this year and made a card that was inspired by ones I saw on Vicki Wizniuk blog.  Come back tomorrow to see the other card I made on the same template idea.  :)
My card starts as a 4 1/4 x 10 1/2 strip and then it's scored at 5 1/2 and 8.  I decided to stick the top two flaps together to help seal in my stitching with the hemp cording.  Tomorrow's is closer to Vicki's dimensions and shows the flaps all free.
My Father-In-Law will surely enjoy his Costco Cash!  He loves that place.  :)

Have a wonderful day,
Gloria
